Fade to Light

Light burns

On the doorway,

Painting red

Down the hallway.

How we feel

The trees

Around us.

Reflected off

What was spilled

And frayed,

The flowers flutter

Then shutter

To gray.

Running water

No wind today,

A stream of shadow

And blue dismay

Stitched into

The blueish sky

While the red

Seeps down

And softly cries.

Sea of green

And green of life,

Wake in early day

To a brand new light.
