Summer Fling

Summer Fling

A Poem by Joan Davis

My mind drifts back, back to that night.
Sapphire skies.
Pale moonlight.
Gold dress.
Emerald eyes.
We slow danced, your hands in mine.
Amber embers flickered out.
Like our gilded haze,
replaced by doubt.
All that's left from the dreaming days
is the ghost of you
from the memories made.
All the places I can't go still.
You own them now,
and always will.

Personally, I found this poem incredible. I was there; you illustrated both the scene and your emotions connected to it very well.

I wouldn't make any changes - it's beautiful, and well done.

Thank you very much.
I'm glad to hear that I was able to actually paint that picture for you.
