It's funny how the human mind thinks

We all know eventually what we wanna be

In high school that's what I've learned

From observing everyone

Including my friends

There's a girl who wants to become a cps lady

Because of how she was mistreated in foster care

She seems so set on it

And it's like a path that's set out for her

My friend wants to be a medical army man

Because of his mother who ran away and nearly killed his military dad

He seems like such a clown

But he still knows it all

And what about me do you say?

I've spent the years passing by

Hiding in my stories

I thought I wanted to be a vet

My mother is a nurse, and my father is a cement man

But I live alone

I have my mom, I have my girlfriend

I want to write

So that's what I'll do

There isn't a word in the world

I don't want to discover

There isn't a world I don't want to create

To explore, and find.

That's who I'll be,

the one to make you laugh,

the one to make you cry.

Author's Note

I've decided that I don't want to be a vet for a number of reasons. While I would love to work with animals, I simply don't have the grades for it. I'm a D average type student. And I am far better at Writing than anything else and it's a passion I have. I'm going to get my degree's in Creative Writing. I want to be an author, and maybe even one day I can teach it. Who knows. My future has infinite possibilities. But the closer I get to being an adult, the more I think of how I wish I could go back to the world being so simple. I am me and no one else, while I wish I could understand others. That's how it'll be. I am a writer.

Well it is good to see that your giving the future a good look. There will be many fingers wagging and heads shaking I'm sure by your decision, but it is ultimately "your" decision so, you go for it. Apply yourself to anything and you will succeed, along with practice and you will be a master. The same goes for being a Vet or whatever. Don't count yourself out because of grades, tests can be retaken, and dreams are made by those who try for them. Nice write Seimei!
