Tiny Ripples Amongst Big Waves

Tiny Ripples Amongst Big Waves

A Poem by Selina

My soul is the Ocean
My heart is half a shell
Even though we were a perfect match
We having nothing to keep us whole
So we washed up on separate beaches
To be taken home as souvenirs
And even though, I'm less than whole
I'm beautiful as I stand alone

Wow!
I think the shortness of this beauty really adds kick to impact. I love how you describe your soul as the ocean, vast and unknown, unexplored and deeply massive. I think this is a beautiful poem about self discovery through heartbreak, and how when sometimes things don't work out, there is always lessons to be learnt. Even if we don't see it right in front of us, it is there waiting to be discovered. A captivitaing piece of work, thank you.

I don't need to wear make up to look my best, but I always wear it when my heart is breaking. It's easier to pretend your having the worlds best day then to admit defeat and show your pain. So I paint.. more..
