Purple Viel

Purple Viel

A Poem by Jake Brunton
"

A women's love can truly burn away a man.

"
My burning incinerates into your death.
Tell me about your lies in your own hemisphere,
the intimacy is nothing more now than a void;
a black revolution of increasing flames.

Your velvet sheets of silk against my skin;
it brushes upon me with shame and regret.
Defecate this heart for your own pleasure;
why do I remain the guilty one?

Tied against my will;
the malevolent strikes against me.
This verbal abuse seems to ever-pass you;
my carcass continues to be kicked down,
down by those you infect with your own dead agenda.

The remnant of vomit on my lip tells you I no longer care;
the remnant of my flesh, exposed and beating,
tells you I no longer feel.
Use me as you will,
forever under your veil.
