reunion

reunion

A Poem by Nobody.

 died for a twitchy moment

in your spotlight gaze

green fire lapping at my icy shores

nobody knew I was dead

except that one sequined vulture

circling the main ballroom

she would’ve eaten my soul

if your sacred, still voice

hadn’t called me back

from my Lazarus hole;

then, we shared a lonesome cigarette

on the rusty tailgate of my old Chevy S-10,

and laughed at our giggly mortality

oh man, this is even better than the re-union scene in the show 30 rock
I know, I''m a poet, I shouldn't be watching television

I don't think more could be said more clearly and powerfully in 13 shirt lines

you def had me @ "sequined vulture"

god, I love this site...it's the middle of the day and I'm already drunk on poetry..I should probly be doing more useful stuff, right?

this poem just makes me wanna streak through my own reunion naked, drunk on tequilla screaming "have at me, winged zombie beasts!"

in reality, if I ever end up at a reunion, it'll probly just be awkward and I won't a poem anywhere near this cool about it

perfect hit the spot sensation of reunions....they always make me count the days left
