mood swings like a sharp axe

mood swings like a sharp axe

A Poem by Nobody.

something ogre-ugly slithers my veins;

seeks road-kill salvation.

loud stink seeps pores like gasoline sculptures

of middle fingers.

blood-Zen

bled out.

mind of Christ lost,

Buddha face cracked,

soul under reconstruction.

porch light flickers,

giggles fade,

lightning has fallen

out of love with thunder.

savior down!

music refuses to wake.

nothing sings anymore

anyway.

I love the staccato style of this piece - like each line was hammered out on a rough workbench, and lightly chained to its neighbour.
The image of 'road-kill salvation' was so original, so you, but these are my fave lines, so much meaning has been welded into 8 words:

lightning has fallen
out of love with thunder.

This poem reminds me of life struggles, with some religion mixed in..
maybe, finding oneself. You have some really great lines in this.
You always come up with these great wicked lines;)

(WC ate my review).
The snarling moments where we turn from everything and see nought but the darkness and negativity are to be savoured and learned from more than people care to think :-P
