Perfection

Perfection

A Poem by Serena Monteleone

They say it takes ten thousand hours to perfect something.
As of right now I have loved you 10,727 hours.
I know I have perfected that by now.

But you have been alive 133,424 hours and I know that you became perfect in less than ten thousand hours.
So I don’t know how true that is.

aw thank you! I agree!
A highly unusual and inventive write. The mathematical certainty of numbers and the changeable quality of emotions can indeed go together. An interesting read . ~ Robert.
