An Ordinary Day

An Ordinary Day

A Poem by Seriana

An Ordinary Day

our days are filled with (extra)ordinary “things”

things………………………………………………………….

“things” which occupy the mind,

or so we think,

significant.

Things of relevance while we type our hearts out on autopilot,

for most any,

and maybe all

for pleasure?

Or hire?

The bills still need paying

and no one’s won the lotter today.

It seem like your comparing the mundane things we think of everyday, with the creative side of us, that is writing our poems, even though it may be on auto pilot. The problem is none of this pays the bills, but we sure get some pleasure out of some of it.
Nice brevity poem, enjoyed it!

Surely, it must be the pleasure, that compels us to write. To put our hearts on our sleeves in the hope that somehow, in some way others will find some relevance in what we say.

Thank you Dave! Appreciate you stopping by and leave a kindness :)
I like poems that touch on routines and day to day life and you have incorporated poetry nicely into it how it may serve as release to many, wow autopilot writing sounds impromptu. Kudos for fab poem!

Plz do read and comment my newest poem too .
