Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Seriana
"

Of conflicts in the mind...and heart.

"

Solitude

There is a loneliness to being alone that I cannot shake.

Attempting,

toiling...

I have tried many times in the wonderment of mind,

only to find myself lost in fragments of thoughts that are not authentic.

I have become weary amidst the space within...

truthfully, too, the arena without...

sleepy in a way that rest does not readily remedy.

My body,

whole,

aches for something ancient it knows it needs,

knows is out there in the abyss of time,

somewhere...it cannot have.

Yet.

A more than wistful poem, Seriana which is set by and before you to, perhaps, help your thoughts to calm. Yes, in being alone, isolating self, there is a feeling of guilt perhaps that shivers the space around you. There is a battle between not returning to the noise and norm of company, the expected reality. OR coping, accepting, that what you need is not isolation but peace and nothing but, Perhaps.

Your poetry always sets my thoughts running, never sure if right but certainly aired. Many thanks for sharing, my friend.
