Amnesty's Seed

Amnesty's Seed

A Poem by Seriana

Amnesty’s Seed

A solitary regret collides with the fractured air

Slipping tacitly

Landing within the softened confines

of shattered remnants of a broken heart

Love’s eternal condemnation

consequences of fallen grace

lying in dismay

A visage of sympathetic deceit

If one could capture the strings of misplaced devotion

and return them to the cage of truth

perhaps the fettered shackles of the heart

would be bound by a new covenant, entirely

free to roam in meadows of slender retreat

No longer dissuaded by pleasure perverse

but instead…

released on the wings of yesterday’s sorrow

Sated by the absolution of internal condonation

I enjoy the fact that here is another voice, an emerging quality that I've always known in you. I hope you continue to cultivate space and simplicity for this emerging convergence of the "selves".
Keep it up! And great good fortune on your test...higher powers will provide.

This is an incredible write my girl. Such deep deep emotion just bleeds from your words. Your writing truly comes from the deepest parts of you soul. It is both breath taking and beautiful.

Heartfelt emotions linked to the unyielding locomotion of time and circumstance. It seems the heart is spectacularly tender and vulnerable in this setting...yet triumphant in its own way.

Very nice poem...

Powerful images; powerful words... Such feelings of loss and pain, hopes of release and freedom. Your work rests on multiple levels of mind and emotion. Incredible!

Strong message in a few complexed phrases. I enjoyed the flow and imagery that easily communicates the tone of this piece to the readers. Great word usage! Far to often writers refer to simple wordings that do not encompass the seriousness of the message to be told. Great read.
