Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Seriana
"

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I'm going to scream if this block doesn't go away soon. :)

"

Writer’s Block

All writer’s know

the key to overcoming a word block

is to write it out.

But what if everything you write

is not the right stuff to write?

What if what comes out is as black as night

and causes such a shuddering fright

because it all rhymes with light?

I’m really feeling this poem is quite lame

And it’s such a crying shame

To play this pathetic word game

But what else is there to do

When your mind won’t stay true

To the words that so cleverly

elude you?

So I’ll sit on this dry dock

And succumb to my mind’s lock

Till I get over the momentary shock

Of this ridiculous mind block!!

I know how you feel. Writers block is like a diasese. I hate getting it because I can't write it out. I just have to wait until I get inspiration again. That can take a while naturally. It's frustrating and annoying. The emotions conveyed in this piece do indeed describe the feeling of writers block. Well done!

lol, I love this poem. Dying here laughing. However that's beside the point. You describe what I feel sometimes. The evils of writers block and the hesitation to end it. Heh. Anywho, good poem.

I can feel the frustration in this.

because it all rhymes with light

I have had this go through my head a million times!
I don't if this would work for anyone else, but I have found my way out of block by trying to write something about something I don't want to write about. I don't know how it works, but it never fails me.

Brilliantly brilliant! You can even build a poem with writer's blocks!!! ;) You truly are amazing...

Just look around you and inside you, my precious friend... You will find light to illuminate your darkness... You might even peak on www.rhymezone.com to come up with some words that will spark the fire. Let go the dread and let life lift you instead...
