Suspension

Self-revelation? Perhaps....Maybe more like self-acceptance.

Suspension

How many times

will I run the rhyme of reason through my mind?

Convincing myself that is sounds phonetically correct?

How many times will I cry

and die inside?

Weeping alone, in the age of loneliness,

always on the verge,

the edge,

the precipice of realization

Which I simply ignore?

How many times will I let the definition of

LOVE

dictate the realm of my roaming heart?

Only to dismiss the blazing warning signs

In lieu of the less flashy,

easier-on-the-eyes design

How many times am I going to pitch and itch?

Scratching a patch of a hole through my soul,

Hoping that the deeper I go,

the more I suffer,

The better the reward is going to be

I think,

Instead,

if I stop running

and crying

And letting

and digging

And put all the bullshit nonsense to a hault

I just might be able to run

For FREE, mind you

And be the me I was meant to be!

So many people suffer with this one. So many people see the same warning signs over and over again and they ignore them. Some poeple have a good heart that forgives. Still head those signs and you will find that real person with real love for you once you have walked passed all the bs guys. Beautiful and true poem written extremely well!! bravo~

How can it be that you and I are sharing the same, lonely universe? It amazes me that you and I can exchange thoughts that seemingly are the same in so many ways. This poem speaks to me. It tells me that self-acceptance IS difficult and something we tend to run from.

This is an absolutely beautifual, raw message. I adore it. I know it.

Isn't it hilarious that the voice that doesn't sound like you is you? I think you're actually giving us the real goods in this poem. It's exciting how unbridled your words are (most are under four syllables too...LMAO). Welcome back to this side of the wall, in the place where there are no walls. Sure its breezy, but the views are priceless!
Keep up the intense wonderfulness! ;)

There you go my dear. This definitely sounds like acceptance of yourself. This is why I am so at ease with my mentality. Some may think I am crazy but I am who I am, if someone doesn't like me for that, they know where to go. Love yourself, love the craziness that is you and if that someone, whoever they may be, doesn't understand that, then they know where to go to. Live by these words you have written Amber. I know how "wishy-washy" you can be, for I am the same. But keep these words close to your heart, you are on to something.
