Poison Planet

Poison Planet

A Poem by [Mackenzie]

September 14, 2034

Mother Nature's fighting back;
Acid rain seeps through every pore,
Deadly plagues sweep across the land,
Rotten air, poisoned water,
Darkness reigns; eternal night.
Nowhere left to hide from this...
This? Eternal torture.
I sound like every other activist
But maybe, maybe, we should have been more careful.

Maybe so. Maybe so.
Too late now, though,
as my body rots.
Pure carelessness on your part.
I could forgive,
but it's hard to forget.
Fix what you've wronged
Save this poison planet
And maybe, maybe,
I'll spare your little lives.

Haha, yeah, no, it's bad. Critique it. Just my opinion on matters at hand.

I really like this one. Especially because of the two different points of views here, one of mother nature and of a person. I can relate to each of the feelings that both are showing. Great job with the personas, and great job on this well written poem. :)
