The Distance In A Train

The guilty child at the back of class

Can see further then the rest.

He knows what’s done and sees the fields,

Embarrassed by the mess.

But words undone do not exist

In books on maths or science.

He lets the cables sleep unpressed

And waits to pay the fair.
