An intro duction

An intro duction

A Poem by Seth DeAlba

So, perhaps I should be blunt
There is quite a lot to tell
But not much I can do quite so well
As speak about who I am
What I am
I am human
(first and foremost)
That must mean I make mistakes
Perhaps I break things
(sometimes I do)
Perhaps I say things
(I never meant that)
Or I hurt people
(Not my intention at all)
But of all things I am who I am
I have been called kind
Stupid
Smart
Handsome
Ugly
Interesting
Insane
Different
Normal
Words that might mean something or not
I tend to be naive
(I believe most lies)
I tend to forget to think
(shoulda thought that through)
I tend to want more than I have
(doesn't everyone)
But all in all I am who I am
And whether you like me,
Hate me,
Trust me,
Believe me,
Love me,
Ignore me,
It will not change that
I am
Who
am.
