Fragments of Yesterday.

Fragments of Yesterday.

A Poem by Eryn ♪

Power flow,
Rush through my bones,
Write and sow,
the seeds of tomorrow,

Shattered fragments,
Blown into the wind,
Let them go,
And start again,

Time freeze,
Core glow bright,
Casting you in beautiful light,
Now your own,

Whisking you away,
From me,
Taking with you,
Our memories,

Now I draw,
My sacred blade,
To fight to keep,
Those memories made,

Never forget,
Those days on the beach,
Or those times,
We fought each other,

Even those,
Bitter sweet memories,
Make me smile,
Because you were there,

So come into,
Your own destiny,
As your own person,
Still I have one request,

Never Forget Me.

“Fragments of Yesterday.” I just have to say, a very nice title. It says so much, of the past, the fragment of what’s yesterday was… oh, those memories – happy & sad times. More often it lingered in our thoughts as penned out the words that comes to mind. When expressing something from your heart, memories comes rushing through. Like lightning, it came out in flashes of good and bad scenery of your yesterdays…

For me the choice of words is really good. It flashes many good imagery as you read along.

“Now I draw,
My sacred blade,
To fight to keep,
Those memories made”

I like those lines, it makes you think that the person in this piece. Wanted to keep those memories alive in her/his heart. Fighting for what he/she passionately seeks, holding on. I believed this heart is a fighter.

Over all I like this piece. Keep penning!

Great first stanza, it could stand alone. Did you mean 'one request'? Both work, enjoyed.
