Wished I'd Never Grown Up

Wished I'd Never Grown Up

A Poem by SeventeenPoet

Years ago-At seven

I would have given up

Everything-Anything

To grow up

Now you ask me

At the age of seventeen

I wished I'd never grown up

Wished I could return

To the days of missing tooths

Bad scribbles on diaries

Disney channels every night

Daddies who gives piggyback rides

To the days where nothing mattered

Scattered toys and jumping sofas

Holidays,crying friends and

being reprimind for sleeping late

To the days waking up in bed

When you fell asleep on the couch

Hiding behind my daddy

When mommy was mad

Wish I'd never grown up

Wish I'd never grown up.

I agree, being an adult is not fun as we once thought it would be. Somedays I wish I could just revisit my childhood once more, but then I remember what a beautiful life I have now. Excellent job and keep writing! :)
