Fate and I

Fate and I

A Poem by Lord_Shade

The wind is cold this very night.
The owls keep screeching from the woods.
A jet trails white, across the sky
Just as a hunter trails his prey.
The moon is lost,
the stars are few.
I wonder if you see the same things too.
Or do you lie in his arms?
And chat about this day you spent.
But are you all alone
Thinking of me, as I, you.
How are you and how've you been?
Is all I'm thinking now my dear.
Fate's to blame for all my pain.
It brought us close and flung us apart.
Is it fate that wishes me here, now?
Does it wish to break me further still?
Or does the road to healing,
Lie in the forest of my pain?
Only fate knows and only fate can tell.
I'm not sure to love or hate this fate.
It has a strange sense of humor
I sometimes admire
What a weird relationship we're in.
Fate and I.

About
There's not really much about me. I took up poetry last year ever since I can't live without writing at least one a day, even if it totally sucks. My preferred genre of story writing is fantasy and I'.. more..
