A kid who wanted to return home.

A kid who wanted to return home.

A Poem by Shades
"

The Peshawar attack took a part from each of us.

"
I refer to you as stranger for I know not your intentions. I don't understand why you did what you did. I'm just a kid.

Heavy backpack, tiny soul.
I wanted nothing but to learn.
Dear stranger, hatred took its toll.

Ambition high, new hopes.
I wanted nothing but to grow.
Dear stranger, the world moans.

Empty lunchbox, smiling friends.
I wanted nothing but peace.
Dear stranger, we've been taught to make amends.

Heavy backpack, shattered soul.
I wanted nothing but to live.
Dear stranger, someday we'll fill the hole.
