Angels and Demons

Angels and Demons

A Poem by Tim Smith
"

My take on religion, one of many poems to come

"
Look for the boogyman, look in the mirror,
The thing you fear is all so near
Hold a cross up to your heart,
Else the demon inside will tear you apart

Spreading filth through fear and lies,
Hiding behind your big black book.
Truth vanished in pages of blind faith
Forbidden to take a closer look

For if you do you will find,
Everything you use to hide
Your precious little seeds sewn so tight
All they are, are precious lies

Angels and devils are in us all
If they even exist at all
Live a person, or die a lie
I live for me, in a world you cant hide

He is he, She is she
I am me, I can see
No religion, No God To Plead
My eyes are open now I'm off my knees
