Who I am.

Who I am.

A Poem by Catherine Parks

I am the rain.
Washing away the pain of the world.
Starting a new beginning.
I relieve the pounding heat of the torturous sun,
beating down upon our gentle earth.

I am obscure.
Unknown and unfound.
Unnoticeable and unseen.
Wandering and waiting for my time to shine,
You do know know me.

I am from musics wondrous melody.
I live in the never-ending symphony.
I dance with the notes, flat and sharp,
molding the song into a piece of gold.
I am musics wondrous melody.

Beautiful allusions to the baptismal cleansing and melody of healing. What a wonsderful and inspiring poem! I feel uplifted and enchanted, not least by the style and musical qualities of the words and their sounds. The flow is so gentle and soft, creating a very enticing and compelling atmosphere that draws the reaed in and along. One of my favourites!
