Alone

Alone

A Poem by Harry Mora

Sitting in this room

Just sitting in this room

All alone and thinking

About being there with you

But our time has long since passed

I guess we knew it wouldn’t last

But I still sit here and think about old times

When I’m alone

Alone in the dark trying to drink my thoughts away

Feeling guilty for the things we’d say

Wondering why we play these games

We see that they all end the same

And we break each others’ hearts

And our lives are torn apart

Our dreams get lost

Our love is lost

I lay here and remember you

Alone; so alone without you

Alone in this room

Without you, I have nothing

I want to hold you in my arms

One last time tonight to be the way we were before

Before I was alone

Before I was alone in this room

Sitting in this room

Just sitting in this room

All alone and thinking

About being there with you
