Missing You

Missing You

A Poem by Harry Mora

I wish that you were right here
To hold me tight and chase my fears
To kiss away my tears
As these lonely nights turn into years

I know it's hard for you
To believe I love you like I never thought was true
And it took so long to realize
While I healed the pieces that had died

You stood by me
As I dream you will stand
Forget the pain, the betrayal and
Accept that this fool has become a good man

I never thought you could love me
And now you feel the same
We both lived through the hardships, heartache, and fears
I hurt you with my life and now I drown in tears

I don't want you to hold doubt and bring them through life
I want to hold you, and heal, and clean the stains of my life
On you and our past that drove us apart
I hope you see that I've changed, give me a new start

Please let me love you and show you my reality
Let yourself see what a hero this villain can be
I've washed away all my doubts and hope you will too
Look into my heart and see how much I love you
