The War of Depression

The War of Depression

A Poem by ShadowsIntoLight

This battle is getting harder to conquer,
It seems as though life is so solemn and somber.
All the secrets and all the dark lies,
About how I'm okay when I'm really not fine.

What happened to that little girl I used to be,
Who ran wildly laughing, happy and free,
She grew up too fast, lost and bewildered,
So when she was older she became bitter.

I don't know how much more war I can take,
Before I collapse on the floor and break.

I love how you write! Especially the way you show your depression through the time you were little building up to the here and now. Keep it up!!
