Their Once Great LandA Poem by Anna
The night is filled with a wonderous mystery.
When we close our eyes and drift away To a land far away Something wakes up. We need sleep. We crave sleep. At one point we all have to sleep. So they wait and they're patient, The trees and the flowers The bushes and the weeds They're patient. When the world is silent and the parasites have left The true rulers of this world arise Taking back their domain. The trees and the flowers The bushes and the weeds Reclaim what was once theirs. They shake off their ropes and restrains Put down the tree forts and swings And roam their once great land Reminiscing of a time when they were More than a decoration When they were the rulers of this Long lost world.
