Taming the Flame

Taming the Flame

A Poem by Anna
"

Maybe letting your anger run wild is better in the long run

"
There is a mother with out a single care
A father with out a worried mind
A daughter without a stress in her life
And a trail of burned emotions behind them.

One day long ago, they stood without swaying
When life pushed right, they leaned left
They saved rain water for when the taps ran dry
And a smile was painted when happiness was empty.

The burning flame of anger
Of hate
Of sorrow
The flame of rebellion grew deep beneath
The painted smiles.

Morning turned to night, winter to summer, and strength to weakness.

One day long ago
The burning flame of anger
Of hate
Of sorrow
The flame of rebellion over took its host
And burned everything in its path
Leaving a trail of burned emotions behind.

empathy burned. Compassion and Sympathy burned.

A father, a mother, and a daughter without a worry
For this world has already killed their emotions.

And a son who is as free as his flame was to wonder.

Great tale you managed to create, love the lines "
A father, a mother, and a daughter without a worry
For this world has already killed their emotions. "

Maybe sometimes is better to let your madness do it's thing before it cools down, otherwise it will take the best of you, anyway great poem

You are welcome .
This reminds me of the things that have been happening lately in the news, especially that 15 year kid who just killed his family, it's so sad, so tragic, you capture the meaning with a flowering sense of great suffering, destruction, and distress, such as a serious accident, crime, or catastrophe. Well done!

It wasn't based on something in the news, but I'm really glad that you can get more than one interpr.. read more
I think it is far better to be honest with yourself than to hide emotions inside...A time bomb waiting to happen..I really loved this short poem...well done
