see how this day was like.

a new day
and the sun is out
adding warm touch
to the cold face

after long chill
of chilly days and night
a sunny day is out
to melt Kashmir

I could see the sun as it got higher in the sky and the shadows getting smaller, Kashmir is a place that I feel an affinity with because the place in Belfast (Ireland) where I live is known collectively as the Kashmir with streets such as Cawnpore Street,Benares Street, Lucknow Street. So where you see the sun rise over the houses and mountains in Kashmir - I see the sun rise over red brick houses and black slate roofs in my Kashmir Shafqat
