It Ends Tonight

It Ends Tonight

A Poem by Shaly Laevulins

Ghazal Form Poem

"

My bag is by the backdoor all ready to go.

I won’t be returning after tonight.

Everything left behind in the past.

It’ll just be me and my Ruby tonight.

I knew this day would come, I just didn’t know it’d be this soon.

There’s no turning back now, no room for hesitation tonight.

My eyes on my destination, I only stop for supplies.

I don’t have any time to waste tonight.

I curl my hand around salvatore, always by my side.

Once the sun is gone, it begins. The end begins tonight.
