Life Line

Life Line

A Poem by Shannan
"

I wrote this for someone I care about very much. It was a hard time when I wrote this, and it pretty much sums up all of my emotions into one.

"
These conflicted feelings running through my mind,
As both of our hands grasp out to find,
The warmth and comfort we both need,
We raise our heads in anguish and greed.

Your poison courses through my veins,
While I search for you in the heavy rains.
A flood is starting in my head,
Flooded with emotions, sorrow, and dread.

But there is always a light,
Too bad it is currently out of sight.
Though there is your heart,
Pulsing against my body in the fanciest art.

This is so wrong in the rightest of ways,
You shouldn't be the one I look to on my saddest days.
Yet you are there for me whereve I go,
In this poem I thought I'd let you know.

Your there even when he's not,
To me you both mean a lot.
I hope I can hang on to my life line,
Or else it'd be the end of mine.
