One Perfect Moment

Another one I wrote for someone special. I don't know about you, but it kind of gave me chills.

As the moon rises in the night sky,
The glow of your beautiful face envelopes my vision.
I look down at your soft, warm, welcoming lips.
My body quivers from the anticipation.
You shuffle your feet a little closer to my cool and shaking body.
You extend your right hand and place it over my heart silently.
Your feet take a step closer to me.
The moment is coming, it's rising from the pit of my stomache and making my heart fly.
I can almost feel your heart beating through the still, night air.
I exhale through my smooth, hard lips.
Your face inches closer to mine.
Your sweet breath enchants me,
It draws me in closer.
Closer and closer the moment nears,
Time appears to stand still.
Even the sounds of the night seem to be put on mute.
Suddenly, your warm lips grace mine and the world no longer has meaning.
The entire world is put at halt,
For this one perfect moment.
