The Voice from Inside

I was in really deep thought the day I wrote this poem

I’m that person that smiles a lot,
But a voice inside me gives me deep thought
I see the people I love enjoy their life
But I just want to stab myself with a knife.

They say to me, ‘Oh have a blast!’
But no one knows if it will last.
People say I wish I was you
But the voice inside me says,’They don’t have a clue’.

I motivate those who give up,
But the voice inside me says shut the f*** up!
Makeup used to cover my tears,
But only I know it can be ruined due to fear.
