Dear Mom

Dear Mom

Inspired poetry based on my mother's relationship with me as her daughter.

Dear Mom

It has been awhile seen we both talked and its necessary to do so before its too late

You know it was never an easy walk in the park for the both of us

Hold your tongue, listen to what I have to say

There's no need to fuss.

Dear Mom, our issues in the past was not so bright.

But they are in the past for a reason

Careless mistakes are not to bring into the present's light

Why are we fighting for? Our battles themselves is a sin.

You are part of me as I am a part of you, always.

From within, you often taught me the lessons of life

The definition of how to live

Our world is no mere paradise

It's a gift to cherish life as it is a natural disaster to die

Our relationship was never perfect to begin with

We cried, laugh, smiled and even yelled through the wretched hardships we once shared effortlessly

A guardian angel tells us we will get through this

Either, we loved or hate each other dearly
