folded neat    
worn pale pink 
the remnants of you

a lasting chance 
the heartfelt glance
evanescense
unravels a ribbon

my baby girl 
her little dress  
rest 
upon my chest 

tiny arms stretching
reaching 
for me  
the promise of light
