Your Betrayal

Your Betrayal

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr

Why did you betray, my love for you

I loved you so much, and cherished you too

I gave you my heart, now it cuts like a knife

I was your friend, your lover, and wife

Betrayed by a man that I thought loved me

With his mountain of lies, of betrayal and adultery

You still want admit, to what you have done

You placed the blame on me, her, and everyone

Now that it's over for me and for you

You have tainted my world, black and blue

But thats OK, I'm strong enough now

I'll make it without you, someway somehow
