Who Am I?

Who Am I?

A Poem by Shelby

Who am I

When I'm sad?

For a moment

When I had

Nothing to be here for?

Who am I

When I'm furious?

The rage building up

With the violence of the curious?

Who am I

When I hurt?

When I've been up

Against the curt?

Who am I?

Wo do I turn to

When the joy bursts?

The song inside explodes

And finally I'm first?

Who do I turn to

When the fear is rising up?

When I'm young and overwhelmed

Like a newborn pup?

So who am I?

Who is there to turn to?

Am I getting stronger

Or dying?

Who will answer my questions,

These sickened Infestations?

Who am I?

Who are you indeed? Well done. I don't usually review poetry, but this is very well done. Great job~

No one can answer who you are for they only know the you, you show them. Inside you is all your answers but it will take forever to find them all. The true skill is in what you learn of yourself while on this short journey of life. The experiences you will face will slowly show you who you really are. Enjoy the journey and keep looking for the answers.

Keep on questioning, keep on writing. ;)
I really like it, identity is pretty mutable and intriguing indeed. The mirror is not enough.
