Gift to the River Gods

Gift to the River Gods

A Poem by Jason Grey
"

When you constantly question why you continue, but it never occurs to you to stop.

"

Blood,

Sweat, and

Tears,

Were expected

Pain,

Blisters, and

Sleepless nights,

Were returned

They stole my body

And broke it

They pried away my mind.

And shattered it

But,

As for my heart,

It is my gift

Given freely.
