Ripped and teared

Ripped and teared

A Poem by Sherbs Dreaming Tree Of Poetry

I sit...

Alone...

Tears of blood stream like water

Shimmering like a twilight moon

Bleak yet mesmerising

Can you see your reflection?

You should....

The blood flows for you

And everything you've done

I miss you

I miss the days we had

The smiles we shared

The letters still bring bittersweet memories

Whatever happened to forever and always baby?

Do you remember the letters?

Do you remember any of the past?

I need you now more than ever...

A strong poem of sadness and disappointment. All of us look back too late for answers that can't be found. I like the journey back trying to find reasons for separation and trying to hold on. A very good ending to a excellent poem.

Love this. Powerful flowing skilful expression of strong emotions. Great job.

I saw my reflection, the one I should if seen.
But that's not me looking back.
I don't see the little girl, barely turned fourteen.
I see a monster, the word carved into my wrist.
Believe it or not, I remember the first time that we kissed.
I remember all the letters, how could I not?
The past lingers on me like death itself.
But look at us, we should remember oneself.
I needed you then, I still need you now.
I'll need you tomorrow, and the day after.
I'll always need you, how could I but?
But the pain gets worse with every cut.

I agree with SpokenWord. Love is a very tricky thing. You captured several aspects of it, though. Nice job.

I have learned the hard way that when it comes to love and someone telling you they love you forever it usually really means that they love you right now and imagine it will be forever. A huge difference in meanings. How can anyone know how they will fill next year? Still we feel that love is so powerful that it lasts for ever and this would be true but as your ending states, Do you remember? to me people often forget over time why, how deeply they once loved someone. Great write!

Nice, nice. Brilliant. I love it. I loved the second stanza and the last line. Oh, and the last stanze, along with that. I loved all of it, regardless. Good write, keep it coming.
