The end is coming

The end is coming

A Poem by Sherbs Dreaming Tree Of Poetry

What is the end?

How can we define it?

we can't even agree on the beginning

And still even then...

who understands the plot

To understand the plot of life

is to understand the beginning and end

Why do we focus on the end?

Or the beginning?

When no-one can understand the plot

Life is but a badly written book....

pointless

Ahhhh, but you need to change your perspective, my darling. :)
Books are an adventure, and have the potential to completely change one's point of view on things, and are anything but pointless....
Where's your happy ending?
But a good write anyway!

I think it can seem as pointless, but we often miss the critical factor! That we are on a journey, powerful poem xx

In real life. Your logic can be true. Sometime beginning and ending flow together. I believe we must still go forward. Can't stand still and wait for a reason to be alive. Better to write some sort of story then none. A excellent poem. I like poetry like this poem. Can open the doors to many new questions.

I love the last two lines, connecting the subject of your poem to something people on here can understand and probably feel strongly about.

"who understands the plot" Since you put question marks at the ends of all the other questions, I think this needs one too.

The whole poem is great. You seem to compare life to a book throughout, with beginning and end and a reference to the plot. We can't agree on the prologue, and only those who can't speak understand the epilogue, and then only the epilogue of their own lives. Although this poem was pessimistic, it spoke truths about the human condition and was an original take on this long-talked-about universal theme. I was glad it remined undecided, rather than expounding upon god or religion, or science. And the ending really brought it all together.

Good write. Thank you for the RR.

Love it! You say it all.......or else
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

I like this. The ending is great and I think you make a great point with the poem. Why focus on the beginning or end of everything, why not just live in the moment? Especially if our life is pointless, then we might as well enjoy it while it lasts. Great job!
