The Sea Is Calm Today

I love being outside and I love the sea. Recently a friend and I drove to the coast and strolled along the pier

The sea is calm today,
The waves gently lapping the shore.

The sky is the clearest blue,
The sun a glorious orb, shining.

The wind is a cool, fresh breath

Tugging relentlessly at my hair.

I stand upon the pier,
A sense of freedom encircling me.

I marvel at the simplistic beauty 

Of Mother Earth, her flawlessness.

It is like a soothing balm across my mind,

A warm comfort around my soul.

I am happy, content, at peace.

My heart swells with joy,

My beloved friend close by,

And then the thought of you

Brushes across my consciousness.

I smile, because I love you.

Again, this is the second poem that is reminding me of my feelings that I had on Prom night..
Anyway, I like the poem. It flows smotthly and is very easy to read. There are no fancy stuff to make it overcomplicated. It is thus simple and concise. Kepp it up!
