Stop and Search

Stop and Search

A Poem by Sherwette

Are you asking me to go backward?

You mean turn around and not look forward?

Play along

Is that what you call it?

Rip that asset and put it in a rigid

To flow with a current

Only on surface of a silly circus

With those in practice malpractice

Wouldn’t you want a little light?

A way outside

To make it a little bit bright

Instead of following

Stop and search

You will find a sign pending to be loaded

And you will feel that urge

Floating only waiting to be posted

Playing along is not for us nonconformists. I know that I will fight to the end. Love it!

Your ideas and wordplay is always so interesting to read! Honestly, I really liek your style. Awesome poem "practice malpractice" that's awesome! And I love how you made those two lines in bold, it added a lot of intensity to the poem. Great job!!
