He asked me, what are you afraid of?
I told him
I'm afraid of heartbreak, again, and of her.
I've never been more afraid
of anything else in my life.
He said to me,
Does that make you afraid of love?
Yes, I said.
Because the one time I fell in love,
This happnee. It destroyed me.
Well it's ok, he said, we love you.
Who's we? I asked him, wearily.
Everyone else, he replied.
