Fear and Loathing

Fear and Loathing

A Poem by Shhhh
"

Another short poem. Feedback would be appreciated! Thank you for reading!

"
Obsession, her love is not real
Depression, that's all the couple feels
Insecurity, the wife is afraid
Fear, their love begins to fade
Love, there is no longer a presence
Anxiety, present in all form of its essence
Loathing, the outcome of their love
Fantasy, it has risen above
Regret, that's all that appears
Nervousness, pain and the fear
Hesitation, they are not sure if they belong
Realization, they never loved each other all along

hmmmmmm , in this case from the poem i don't think its that , but the couple reaching a point where everything became mundane , i often see couples reaching this point and becoming filled with hate for each other . whats important is to remember the good things and try to fix it , we give up too easily in this generation . love is not like a light you should'nt be able to swtich it on and off

I felt that this piece worked well to describe a very real situation that occurs in many relationship. It's a cross gender event, no gender dominating the depressive/opressive end. I've been through exactly what this piece describes and it does in my opinion come down to the realization that niether bonded in the way true love should be and they had never truly knew what love was, thus it failed.
while I will agree with Peter H below that trying to fix things is something couples should do...try being the main word. I think it's also important to realize that somethings just weren't meant to be fixed and it's best to move on before either side gets wounded more than they already have become.

Thanks for sharing your Ink!
