Paradise

Paradise

A Poem by Shhhh
"

it's too far from my grasp

"
My thoughts have crumbled into a maelstrom of twisted metal
Poisoned, deteriorating slowly,
Yet your image prevails above all
The image of paradise, freedom

Physically, it lies a few steps away from me
But it is merely an illusion
Testing my cleverness
Seeing if I will once again, fall for it's delightful mirage

Yet this illusion has become a sweet melody
One that cannot leave my impenetrable head
Life has now disparaged me
Jested and questioned at my motives

Stabbed me in the back with a dull rapier
My rapport with myself has indulged itself in failure
Sweeping me away from the few steps away from paradise
Free, yet imprisoned once again
