A Nightmare

I didn't know how much I loved you, until one day, I had this NIGHTMARE....

A cold evening it was...
Under a tree we did pause...
The sun was nowhere to be seen...
A rainy day it would have been...
Only if the clouds had known my feelings inside...
Which my broad smile did perfectly hide...
You had told me you love me no more...
A definite reason would have been there for sure...
I look for d last time into your eyes...
Expecting it to be one of your lies...
But you say now it's time for you to leave..
I still smile because it's already hard for me to believe...
You then slowly fade away from my sight..
And leave me there alone..
With the intolerable plight...
I wait for you to look back...
But you don't and my heart is taken aback..
At that instance it starts to rain...
For I am unable to express the terrible pain..
It is just then I open my eyes..
"A NIGHTMARE" I then realize...

Sounds like something, you have wished would happen. Yet you yearn to be still to be with him. It has a haunting quality to it. I enjoyed it. Keep at it. Your story brings the feeling through.
