Solipsism of Youth

Solipsism of Youth

A Poem by Kristallo
"

'Time searched the hallways for a mind. Hands kept time. The climate altered like a visible dance.' -J.M.

"

The transient universe pours out her mysteries

onto my plucked pages of twilight

smiling in the microcosm of stationary life

challenging me to drop the pen and

  { Ascend... }

into that finite oasis of pale blue sky

chasing the swiftness of stolen dreams

loyal to naught but the zephyr's wings

"Are we really so alone?"

I inquire of the burning stars

sitting silent in celestial harmony

each unto itself a hypnotist of light.

{In lilac lullaby, I tip my ear to velvet sky} and

The whispering pines are alive

in seraphic unison they dance

on ambrosial breeze

in organic grace

the incense brewed in verdant tea

And I humbled softly in wake

as lilies smile from the bottom of everything

blissful heads of pearl so unaware

of the constraints of time.

In this lucid presence of being

I can taste the unpolished freedom

of serenity.

Like rushing silk it softens the blur

between feverish flesh and

surrealist framed illusion.

In this idyllic definition of light

I realize my mind was splashing

with the freezing currents of

{ looking glass vanity } ;

the solipsism of youth.

Are you kidding me?! I can't wrap my head around how brilliant you are and how much it excites me to take you in! Your every word expands my mind further still, what true art should do! You create such beauty with your words and really deliver something that expands the soul and graces the reader's existence. I think most people cannot place why that is exactly, because your brilliance exceeds their capabilities. This little segment was ridiculously genius, absolute glory incarnate:

"each unto itself a hypnotist of light.
The whispering pines are alive
in seraphic unison they dance
on ambrosial breeze
in organic grace
the incense brewed in verdant tea
And I humbled softly in wake
as lilies smile from the bottom of everything
blissfully unaware
of the constraints of time."

Dear Kris,

I walked through your words here, and they are splendid. You have such a way with words. "smiling in the microcosm of stationary life" what a line, to begin, an ingenious summary of something big ... you can succinctly and concisely summarize it with that line, you have an ear for music, I can tell you :)

Those lines:
""Are we really so alone?"
I inquire of the burning stars
sitting silent in celestial harmony
each unto itself a hypnotist of light."

Are most poetic. This Solipsism, is most profound ;)
I guess you were a clever child on young age already!

Thank you for sharing your artworks with us here.

I'm trying to digest all the cool imagery, while being lulled by the sweet beautiful song.

The whispering pines are alive
in seraphic unison they dance
on ambrosial breeze
in organic grace
the incense brewed in verdant tea
And I humbled softly in wake

Wait let me rephrase my comments above...your words....DESERVE to be put into song...it's just that beautiful!

Dear Kris,
You have only gone and used one of my favorite words or variations thereof: 'Solipsism.' I used that word all the time - even when it is not called for - I even use it out of context - for fun.
I know I have said this before I like to read your poems after I have been writing some of my own because yours make me feel good, hazy, kind of 'out there.' The very feelings I need, well, most of the time really. I love your celestial journeys, your romantic heart, and your total yearning for a love that will never be broken.
Hugs my darling,
Rosalind

How I love your wondrous personification... the universe alive and breathing you in... Can feel the overwhelming sense of twilight's beauty... colors painting the sky... infinite and finite songs filling the mind... and your mind, filled with the universe of you... what's real and what is imagined, all awake within... This left me breathless... wanting to melt into the words and become a part of this dreamish music... This is pure bliss, letter by letter..
