Ambrosia

Ambrosia

A Poem by Kristallo

In riesling muddled reverie, I dared recall
the native fluid of your sashay
Austere in earthy-toned simplicity
as calloused fingers drop to play.
Intoxicant blues-belting lover
Rising to the funeral pyre
of our charring, tarnished pages
Alight with the cindering words
spat from the smolder of your tongue
Accusing this orphan girl of
turning lust-lashed amber eyes
to sneak at the raw of his visage.
Smoke signals spiral from the
tease of his sun-danced hands
enveloping me tauntingly
In his dusty rose appeal.
The sensual rhythm of drums,
surrounded sultry, shadowed bodies
by the fire-spied profile of
Cherokee incantations...
fueled by the azure of aged song
the incense of your skin prolonged,
i'm ignited by the aphrodisiac of
your fluid sashay.
Mesmerized, I creep by
the crowing harmony of your voice.
Let me live by the prosaic
of your every day mundane
I can find erotic by the sweep
of your palm,
I can satiate my thirst
enveloped in the blanket of your rhyme.
Fossil me in the Buddha of your
cavalier.
I'll know no sense of destiny,
'till the luscious ferment of my garden
is tilled by the freesia
of your ambrosial tenancy.

Alright then..Forget everything I said..just do THIS.. again and again. I close my eyes and the words are still mantled in summer thick rattlesnake hide. You have donned the Morrison crown in this one. The end leaves me coiling into fire...I think you are officially amber and fossilized. Brilliant and so very touching.

Riesling is my favorite wine: I could use a glass right now given the heat of your poem - for it has moved in me great feelings.

*awe-inspired silence...*

I'm totally speechless. My personal favorite of your works. "Fossil me in the Buddha of your; cavalier." One of the most incredible lines I've read. This poem touches me in a distinctly personal way. Your vocabulary is formidable, and as always, your use of that vocabulary is unique and beautiful. More than special.

If only I had words like these to sing, so romantic in a lustful sort of way, it's naughty, it's nice and it's a breathful of longing,~i also wish i had your knack of reviewing, usually when I am moved beyond the words all I can say is I love it!
