A poem about love

Love doesn’t need color

nor does it need exotic scenery

like a sunset or an ocean view

 

Love doesn’t need over-romanticized wit

nor does it need fluffy bullshit

like boxes of valentines and flowers

 

Love doesn’t need sex

nor does it need its presence

for love is already orgasmic on its own

 

Love doesn’t need drugs

nor does it need drinks

for love already brings euphoria on its own

 

Love doesn’t need music

to describe what it is

for love is already the sweetest of music

 

Love doesn’t need words or syllables

on a overly frequent basis

to continuously remind one that it’s there

 

The only thing love needs

is you and I
