a metaphor for being alone

a metaphor for being alone

A Story by But?shouldyouneedus?

Sitting on some street corner singing the blues
Trying to make people notice
Everyone passes
Throws you some change
Maybe stays for a minute to listen
But they all leave eventually
And youre left on a lonely corner
Strumming your guitar with numb fingertips and bloodshot eyes
Waiting for the next person to come along
So you can sing to them
Let them tell you its beautiful
And then leave
Again and again.
