Love and Mercy

Love and Mercy

A Poem by John F

Where the sky is wider
Than your field of vision
I will drive to you.

Towards those
Elongating clouds
Stained of rose quartz
And lavender amethyst,
I will drive to you.

Now close your eyes
And listen for it.

When you are blind
You will hear it all the clearer.

Those ruinous vibrations
of love and mercy
Pounding through
The delicate midair
And into your heart.

Let it turn the darkest mood
To the deepest blue,
And flood out the high tide
in the rivers of your soul.

Then light a white candle
For the new moon tonight
And ask for her to mark out
a new beginning for
Love and mercy.
